An intriguing cabinet or cupboard, crafted of cast concrete in a special technique with plant specimens imprinted on its doors. The softness and sensibility of nature represented through these beautiful plants contrast with the hardness of the concrete, which creates a surprising sensation. The plants appear as being petrified. We are also reminded of the art deco era or Jugenstil, however, in new flesh, projected into the present and the future through the use of this contemporary material as is concrete.
The beauty of nature becomes even more manifest, the finesse of the plants more obvious, being cast into a timeless state for eternity.

The artist’s preferred material is concrete which qualities and limits he challenges. His body of work is characterized by a dialogue between seemingly disparate elements: the chasteness and timeless hardness of concrete meet the fragile vivacity and tenderness of plant specimens. There is a technical sophistication inherent in his work, which has its own melody and adds a new lightness and aesthetic to the gravity of the material.
