This is VEHO, the minimalist floorlamp by artist Gisela Stiegler from her series ‘Lampenfieber’, a body of work where she re-purposes polystyrene fish,- and market boxes to create art-light objects and installations. Gisela Stiegler is a sculptor and fine-artist whose main raw material to work with has been polystyrene for around 10 years. She creates minimalist yet expressive and impressive sculptural pieces and forms, adding lacquer and color with a distinct sensibility [see Gisela’s artist folder for her more of her sculptural works]. The floorlamp makes an art and architectural statement in space and can be used vertically and horizontally with the same frame. The suggested cable here is neon-orange. During day and unlit the piece is a sculpture in space, while at night it becomes an intriguing lightsource.
