The Mexican artist Julio Martínez Barnetche is a prolific sculptor especially of precious and semi-precious stones, but also wood, working between pure sculpture, furniture and objects. His work has an overwhelming strength and is developed with a masterly approach to the use of materials and techniques. He often takes his materials as he encounters them naturally and does not intervene too much, especially in the case of stones and wood. He never cuts a tree, he finds the wood in nature, in the garden of friends or at architectural salvage sites.
In our displayed images here, you can find some of the construction process of the tables in the workshop setting of the artist, and a couple of images of our Zona Maco 2023 art fair participation, where we showed one of the four pieces alongside Julio's West 1 & West 2 chairs.
NOTE: Tables are also available as single pieces or in any set.
