ECCO 1 & 2, are from a collection of pieces that address, through symbolism, color and repetitions, the borderline zones between consciousness and subliminal perceptions through possible altered states of consciousness.
A work that presents Las Ánimas' particular vision of the line that divides everyday, proximate and conscious reality (spatial, temporal, sensorial, palpable) from the ancestral or the unknown future.
The concept revolves around the borderline zones, the bridge between what we perceive consciously and unconsciously. A territory where limits are blurred and reality is mixed with reverie; a frontier where space-time is diluted and past, present and future are mixed as a reality that resembles the similar and that forms part of our imaginary without having been seen before... A rupturist vision of the concept of space-time, where energy and connections form an indivisible part of the creative narrative.
Las Ánimas invite us to go beyond and observe this territory through a collection of wall works made up of 17 pieces including textile works, pictorial works and reliefs. Objects that seek to trigger subconscious and collective memory with a totemic and ceremonial character.
