This model belongs to a series of contemporary branching pendant lamps designed and inspired by geometric patterns and angles and wqith vintage salvaged glass shades. The design is based on traditional metalworking techniques such as bronze casting in lost-wax casting technique, hand-crafting of brass parts. The position of the glass shades can be varied. Thierry Jeannot (b. 1963) is a French-born designer living in Mexico for the last 25 years. Working across product design, interior and social design, he focuses on generating high added value to recycled materials through design. He is interested in traditional techniques and materials and has worked closely with craftspeople both in Paris (Thierry Mugler) and in Mexico City. He follows a design philosophy where design and the production process are never separated. He always designs and constructs the pieces himself.
